Europe Delays the introduction of ETIAS to 2027
The European Union has officially delayed the rollout of its ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) until 2027.
If you've been wondering whether you need to apply for ETIAS before your next trip to Europe - the answer is not yet.
The official European Union ETIAS website currently states that the system is not yet operational and that travelers should not apply at this time. The EU has said it will provide plenty of advance notice before ETIAS officially launches.
US & UK citizens planning to head overseas have reported receiving
offers from individuals claiming to process EES and ETIAS applications for a fee. These offers are scams and can potentially expose you to crime.
Only use US or EU government websites to sign up!
Avoid using scam websites offering to do the process for you.

So, it's the afternoon in Genova, Italy. You sit down for a spritz or a beer in a cafe and the server will bring you a small bowl of potato chips, or peanuts, and/or some olives, whatever the house specialty is. A couple sits down next to you and speaks Italian to the server, who then brings out their drinks, and a plate of creamy pasta, followed by an epic slab of wood, adorned with what you see over here ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- >>>> >>>> >>>>
What are we waiting for? Act of Congress? Sign from above? Nope... The key is to wave the server over and ask for: 'scuse, lo stesso (piatto), per favore', they will even listen to French: 'la meme chose (assiette), s'il vous plaît' and Spanish 'lo mismo, por favor'. Remember, English isn't a first language in northern Italy.
Each restaurant is different about whether they will charge you for it or not, but it's a fantastic way to get small tastes of the local fare. This was the biggest tray I had of the restaurants I went to. If I find the receipt, I'll add the whole total here. (After a while I stopped looking at restaurant receipts because it was so fulfilling, I stopped caring)
